Demetrius mumbled as he was nudged with a boot, before blinking harshly. "If there is a bar-fight, we'll be the ones to finish it..." Demetrius murmured in the harsh tones of the Dessarian language, before reaching out. Grabbing onto a passer by, he pulled down - before looking bemused as, instead of moving upwards, his mobile grabbing post instead moved down with a yelp. Narrowing his eyes unhappily, Demetrius tried again.

After four attempts, Demetrius had collected a pile of four people who were somewhat too afraid to get up, in case the Dessarian took it as an act of war. Using the four-bodies-high mound of... Bodies, he hauled himself to his feet, and grabbed a bottle of Vodka from the desk; he was unsure if it was originally his, or originally someone else's, but in either case he had claimed it for his own.

Although... The down-looking girl, being spoken at by the Captain, hadn't placed a bottle of anything to her lips in ever, and she looked like she could do with it. Striding over in two easy steps, the 5' 11" Dessarian thrust his hand out in front of the depressed female; sat at the bar with an angered-at-herself expression, and grinned at the open bottle top of Real Dessarian-Grade Vodka. "Thirsty?" He asked with a grin. "Have drink?" He offered, raising his eyebrow, pulling an even broader grin than before.

Lep looked up, blinking at her. His smirk and the glisten in his eye had returned. He stood up straight, looking her in the eye. "Why, yes. Yes I did. I'm Lepper, Captain of the Winged Fox Air Pirates. One of our airships was destroyed in port here, and our second one was heavily damaged during a storm over Saguaria. I'm stuck here until I can repair the Sapphire Ruby, but in the meantime, I'm looking for capable crew. Job pays well. Of course, if you deny..." He leaned in a bit closer to her. "I'm also looking for that special someone to be at my side through those adventures. Don't have to come along, but I'm one loyal bugger."

"Von Helson?!" Sarah nearly jumped as if someone had stuck her with a pin, snapping to an attentive awe; her face almost glowing. "I was there! I, uh, urm...." The glow quickly faded, and she started fidgeting again, avoiding eye contact.

"The Sapphire Ruby is a stupid name." She muttered, accepting that she was going to go see this Alison person.

Seba had returned to her vodka at the bar, but it seemed something else now required her attention. Swallowing down the rest of the drink she shoved her way through the crowd to Lepper. She had heard what he said. Putting on an amused face, she looped an arm around the woman's shoulder whom Lepper was addressing and nonchalantly waved her other hand at her captain.
"Don't mind either of them. That one's big but he's just a soft girly-man on the inside; you should take that drink though, don't want to offend a Dessari.. Unless you are one. The other is a total womanizer who can't get enough of our gender. I suggest you stay faaaar away from him. Special someone, loyal bugger, my ass... We've got things to discuss Lepper; you know, that whole ship blowing up thing? Doesn't really seem that important though...." With that Seba removed her arm from the woman's shoulder, patted her twice on the back, and walked away; half watching Demetrius.

She got to the bar, and ordered another vodka.

His eyebrow raised as he heard her respond the way she did about the Von Helson lands. Shaking his head as to wave off what had just happened, he cracked a grin at her comment about the name. "Yeah, well. Tell that to the boss. Personally, I woulda named it somethin' like the Dauntless, the Blood Debt, that sorta thing." He looked behind him as he stood up. "Okay, I need ya to stick close to me while I lead you to the airship, alright?" He started back on his way to the Ruby, looking over his shoulder occasionally to see if she was following.

Scrunching up her face for a moment, she was tempted to not follow. But Macaroni was being nice so far, so she decided to play along. Trotting up along side him, Sarah walked the remainder of the journey to the Ruby in silence, not really looking at Macaroni; more so being distracted by everything else that was surrounding them.

When they got to the air field she stopped, waving her arms in a circle; staring up at the Ruby in awe, as Macaroni continued walking. "It's huuuuge!! What's with all the burning stuff over there?" She blinked, and getting no response from her escort, she ran back over to him.

They went inside the air ship, and after taking a few turns from the main corridor they arrived at a room labeled "Medical".

Things seemed to be calming down, much to Medic's relief. Samuel and Felix were ignoring each other for the most part, despite what Felix had said, and Felix was eating well despite his severe injuries. The drip on the lieutenant had finished, and Medic removed the IV from his arm, taping a patch of gauze over the spot. "That's about it, you're free to go whenever." She said, smiling at Samuel.

Throwing away the expended bag of fluids and putting the needle in a biohazard's container, Medic heard someone approaching the door that led into the medical bay. Turning around to watch it open, it turned out to be Mac, as well as an unknown girl with bandages on her wrists and neck; she wasn't part of the crew. "..You're back. And you brought a friend."

He gave a wave as he entered, looking at Medic. "Yeah... saw her standin' around in the middle of nowhere with some tenderness around her neck and wrists. Probably a runaway considerin' her current state. Looks like someone gave her some food before she bolted, though." He took out his bottle of pills, popping out two and tossing them into his mouth, putting away the bottle and drowning the two pills down his throat with water from his canteen.

Once he was finished, he looked over to the one he had picked up, leaning in close to Medic so she wouldn't be able to hear. "From what I gathered, she's a Gaian soldier. Actin' a bit nutty though, probably got through some traumatizin' stuff before gettin' here. Need to check her for Tetanus because she's been twitchin' and jumpy all the way over here. I disinfected the areas and bandaged them, so your turn to administer what you need to."

"I did run away. From Elephant! He talked about a ruby too, like you were doing Macaroni. He bought me noodles. He has a lot of money and gets mad." Sarah jabbered on in reply to Mac. When he leaned into Medic and started whispering, she puffed her cheeks out, stamping her feet. "Hey, you can't have secrets! That's... A kitty!!" Her attention had been drawn fully to the Pantheran in the corner, gasping a little in happiness. "Kitty! Is it nice? Can I pet it?!"

Felix looked up at the new voice. She sounded young - younger than most humans he'd met - but he could smell more than the scent of youth. He could smell blood, and sweat, and a good amount of dirt, and steel, and lead, and gunpowder and copper... Felix gave an unhappy sneer and huffed. "Guns..." he said begrudgingly, in the same tone many might use to say 'Murderers...' or for many humans, 'Pantherans...'

"I don't like, guns..." He added quietly, glaring with his eyes hidden behind the headband, and staring with his other senses. Soon though his stomach reminded him of the need for food; and Felix returned to his meal, now about three-quarters - if not closer to a half - way through the meal, which was cooling a little more rapidly than he was eating it.

Medic nodded in reply to what Mac had said about the new girl as she was looking at her calmly. "Everyone's a soldier to you Mac. I'll be careful with her in case, but there are such a thing as happy people out there." She shook her head and began getting a few glass slides and a tongue depressor out for the tetanus test, as well as a syringe for some blood tests, when her attention was drawn to Felix making an angry comment. "Felix, you know she's not going to be in here forever, right? I'm going to check her out, make sure she's healthy, then send her off. Same as you. That corner doesn't belong to you, ya know." Medic giggled a little.

Walking over to an examination table, Medic patted it and looked over to the girl. "Mkay, come over here and we can begin."

Samuel had remained reasonably silent since the Pantheran spoke to him, which was somewhat unusual for him. Normally in the presence of one of this animal-like species Samuel would have either dealt with it head on (usually ending with a bullet to the throat of the creature) or quickly made excuses and left the room. This time was different, even though he didn't take the Pantheran's words seriously, it make him think of what he'd become since the attempt on his life. For all his demons he'd tried redeeming himself starting by using company and personal finance to privately invest in charities and projects around the world to help others, as well as trying to turn his company around from just making weapons and looking into alternative non-violent markets. But all didn't help heal his soul.

He found only alcohol numbed the burden. Standing upright, he nodded in acknowledgement (and as a way of thanks) to Medic, before making his way towards the door of the medical bay. Leaning against the doorway, he turned his head slightly back at the creature. He scowled slightly, before moving off into the corridor back towards his office.

"... Kitty isn't nice..." Sarah huffed sadly, her eyes falling to her feet; her toes wiggling around in her shoes. She looked up again, and saw the syringe that the person Macaroni had been talking to was now holding. Sarah blinked, and started taking steps backwards to the door. She turned around to run out of the room, only to find that the door was closed and she had just run face-first into it.

"Owies..." Sarah mumbled, as a small amount of blood started trickling out of her nose, her hands at her face trying to contain the blood. It didn't occur to her to open the door. She was now shaking violently again.

Mac gritted his teeth, getting over to her. "... oh, for fuck's sake..." He quickly got there, patting the newcomer's shoulders a bit, getting in front of her and getting to her eye level. "Calm down kid, everything's gonna be alright." He took off his helmet, strapping it to his belt as he gave her a quick look over. Shaking his head, he put his hands on her shoulders again. "Alright, take it easy. You're gonna be okay. Just a little bit of blood."

He fished around in his medkit, pulling out some loose clean handkerchiefs, handing one to her. "Okay, just hold this there, but whatever you do, do not look up." He kept fishing in his kit, finding an unopened candy bar he had left there for later. Giving a slight sigh, he pulled the massive chocolate bar out, opening it and offering it to her. "Here, take some. It's from a shop in Little Paloma in Duremburg."

"Don't look up? Why?" Sarah asked, still shaking, as she started looking up; her wording muffled slightly due to the handkerchief being held over her nose. "Is there something wrong with the ceiling?" Squinting, frowning and finding nothing wrong with the ceiling after a quick inspection, she looked back at Macaroni. He had candy. Pausing slightly, she reached out and broke a little piece off of the bar. Slowly eating it, the shaking all but faded.

Looking at the handkerchief quickly showed that the small nosebleed had already stopped. Sarah folded the cloth into a small square, and started twisting it around in her hands. ".. Thank you Macaroni.."

After realizing what had just taken place, Lawrence looked at the empty space in front of him, the rifleman nudging him some to get him to move. Blinking, he looked around, muttering "oh bugger" over and over again. He ran about with the rifleman for a good part of a half hour, before giving up and returning to the airship to get help.

Once their, Lawrence moved up and down the airship, trying to see if anyone besides the security detail remained. Arriving at the medical bay, he saw her. Giving a bit of a sigh of relief, he looked at her. "Oi... Uh, sorry abou' th' 'ole yellin' atcha thing earlier... guess I get a bit tempermental when someone starts insultin' me products." He stood up straight, the back of his head crashing into the low door frame behind him, forcing him to lean forward again, his hand rubbing the injured area. "... oh bloody 'ell."

Felix frowned slightly at what Medic said, before nodding faintly. "Sorry..." He said apologetically, before soon slipping the last piece of the meatloaf into his jaws, and downing it with the rest of his water. "That was wonderful." he said with a faint smile, before rubbing his eyes through his headband.

"So... What happens now?" He asked, looking towards where his scent and hearing was telling him she was, his ears facing her directly and tail now resting gently on his lap, above the covers laid upon him. although he was addressing Medic, he wouldn't be surprised if anyone else replied for her with something malicious and unprovoked; not that, in his current state of mind, he'd worry too much...

"I'm not quite sure honestly.." Medic said, watching the girl as she calmed down slightly. "Though I still need to get the exam done." She sighed, tapping her fingers on the examination table, then looked over at the girl. Saying 'it's not going to hurt', and 'don't worry' probably wasn't the best thing to do in this situation. "Hey, why don't we make sure you're healthy, hmm? Then you can have more candy."

Sarah blinked at Elephant, who bonked his head on the door. "Uuuh.. Okay." She nodded. "This is Macaroni. This is Kitty. And this is... A scary person." She said, pointing to Mac, Felix, and then Medic; as if Lawrence had never met them before. She had been standing close to Mac, but wanted to get whatever Medic had to do over with. Schooching closer and closer to the table, Sarah finally got over to it and hopped up, sitting down on the cold metal platform. She huffed, and started swinging her legs back and forth.

"A scary person. Right. Well... Let's begin." Medic turned away from the medical table for a moment to locate the equipment she had earlier prepared before the ... commotion. Turning back around she placed a tray; containing the syringe, glass slides, and various other instruments, on a small platform next to where the girl was sitting. Putting on latex gloves, Medic took one of her arms and cut away the bandage to reveal the reddened area. Taking a skin sample she put it one of the glass slides, covered the sample, redid the bandage, and went to a microscope.

After a few minutes of silently toying with the equipment, Medic looked at the few too many people standing around in her work area with a small nod. "Tetanus is negative, so that's one less thing to worry about." Pulling her gloves off and throwing them away, Medic washed her hands and put on a new pair. Cleaning an area of the girl's arm, she took a rather large blood sample, which was separated into many different smaller vials after a bandage was placed over the spot. "O positive.. Great, we need more of you." Medic said as she started jotting down notes on a clipboard.

After a bit, the blood work results had finished; she was clean of everything. "Well, you're almost good to go. All that's left is your height and weight. And your name.. Need to have something on this chart.. "

"OH! I got that!" He stumbled over, his head banging against the low hanging lamp nearby. Her muttered on about something of higher ceilings in an airship as he nursed the area by rubbing it with his right hand, his left pulling out some folded papers from his pocket as he handed it over to Medic.

"Here. Got all 'er information there. The buggahs at the slave trade, though immoral, do know 'ow to keep things neat 'n tidy." He laughed a bit, groaning at the sharp pain in his head. It was the Notice of Slave Ownership papers he had gotten from the slavers after purchase, which also included exactly what he bought her for, as well as anything else he bought alongside her.

Frowning a bit, Lep excused himself from who he was addressing, slipping off to the side to go over to the Commissar. He snarled a bit as he looked at her. "Whatever it was that made you decide to pull me away in the middle of something better be damn good. That's the upteenth time you've sabotaged me, with or without an excuse."

He would have much preferred to be called up when he wasn't attempting to get yet another girl into bed with him. He figured it was probably because of what happened before they left, with him interrupting her in the hot springs.

"Mmm.. Then I suppose you're not interested in what was learned from the person caught earlier today in relation to the Sky." Seba snorted, half glaring over at the Captain as she downed another vodka. "Besides, you don't want to get involved with women in Norune bars, Lepper. All they do is get you plastered and then steal all your stuff. Amusing to watch, not to have happen to you. I did you a favor."

Ordering one of those girly-man Aekean "alcohols" for Lepper and another Dessarian vodka for herself, Seba started talking in a low tone. "The man was well trained. Either from Dessaria or he spent quite a bit of time there. He either had an employer or an accomplice, or both; this couldn't have been pulled off alone. He mentioned something about a repeat performance; it may have been a real threat, may not be. That's about it.."

Muttering, Demetrius dragged all 5' 11" of himself to his feet, and slapped the glass onto the counter. The glass then shattered, causing his hand to pour with blood, which was then ignored. "Only thing that worries me, is they got onto boat..." Demetrius muttered, leaning his weight upon Seba. "There was a lot of boom. Either he let off powerful explosive in gas balloon thing; or..." Demetrius wrinkled his head, "Man smuggled several ton of explosive onto boat. That... That takes skill; or blind guards."

Patting Seba on the shoulder, leaving a blooded hand-print on the cloth, Demetrius held up his good hand. "I have another Dessarian drink! Put it on Captain's tab." he added, pointing at Lepper; "It can be drink he buy for me after I save his life." he added, before grinning in the slightly-too-broad way Dessarians were renown for.

"So, a Dessarian sabotagin' an Aekean airship. Ain't nothin' new to me, but threatenin' a repeat performance might be a bit troublesome." He thought to himself, looking around. "Best put the boys at guard duty ta be ready for a fight if need be. I ain't be wantin' any more things explodin' while we're here."

He took the shot of whiskey, looking over at the bottle of Dessarian Vodka. He scrunched up his face at the residue at the bottom of the bottle. "I don't see why you lot enjoy drinkin' the washin's of your guns so much. Only advantage I see to that is the molotov cocktails are better made."

He sat silent for a moment, then spoke up. "There's a race announced in town going through Dezari canyon. Prize money's more than enough to get spare parts, but with the fact I got the work Aekean all over me plane, I'll be shot down immediately after they see me."
